Talking about the choice of objective lens of Olympus microscope

Olympus microscopes offer customers a wide range of versatile objectives. Here's a quick overview of how to choose an objective based on a different type of microscope.

First of all, Olympus's objective lens can be divided into PLN ( flat field achromatic ), UPLFLN ( universal apochromatic ) and UPLSAPO ( universal apochromatic ). There are also specific correlations (PLN-PH, UPLFLN- PH) and objective lens selection corresponding to polarized light (PLN-P, UPLFLN-P), and an objective lens (LUCPLFLN, CPLFLN) having a long working distance corresponding to the inverted microscope.
The basic parameters describing the objective include magnification, numerical aperture (N/A), working distance (WD), and field of view (FN). The reference parameters of different types of objectives for the same magnification will also vary.

In general, the optical microscope is observed as follows:

BF: bright field, DF: dark field, PH: phase difference, PO: polarized light, DIC: differential interference, FL: fluorescence observation (blue, green, purple, etc.), UVFL (ultraviolet fluorescence observation). Different types of objective lenses are suitable for some of these observation methods. For example, the objective lens of the PLN (FN=22) type can be observed as follows:

Objective parameter

In addition to the objective lens itself, the reasonable combination of the microscope objective lens and the different models of the microscope's overall optical path system can achieve the optimization of the observation effect and the optimization of the product price-to-price ratio.
