High Temperature Resistant Silicon Nitride Ceramic
Silicon Nitride Ceramic: High Temperature Resistant Silicon Nitride Ceramic Silicon nitride ceramics are considered among the hardest materials in the world. They begin to oxidize in air at 1300-1400°C, have a compressive strength of 490 MPa, and can reach a hardness of HRA91-93. Silicon nitride is resistant to corrosion by virtually all inorganic acids, caustic soda solutions with a concentration below 30%, and many organic acids. Furthermore, Si3N4 ceramics exhibit excellent thermal shock resistance, minimal high-temperature creep, and wear resistance. Applications of Silicon Nitride Ceramics: 1. In the semiconductor, aviation, and atomic energy industries, it is used to manufacture switching circuit substrates, thin film capacitors, electrical insulators resistant to high temperatures or extreme temperature fluctuations, radar radomes, missile nozzles, support and isolation components in nuclear reactors, and carriers of nuclear fissile materials. 2. In medical engineering, i…
