Oil & Gas custom forged rings
Product Description Custom forged rings for the oil & gas sector are rolled from vacuum-degassed carbon or low-alloy billets (AISI 4130, 4140, F22, 8630). Outside diameters range 300–4 000 mm, walls 50–600 mm, weights up to 15 t. Rings are rough or finish-machined to API 6A, ASME B16.5 or customer drawings, including RTJ, BX and hub profiles. Performance Quench-and-temper or normalize delivers 550–750 MPa yield, 700–950 MPa tensile, ≥27 J at –46 °C Charpy. Hardness bands 180–235 HB meet NACE MR0175 sour-service limits. Fatigue life exceeds 50 000 cycles under 0.9 × yield alternating stress. 100 % UT to EN 10228-3 Class 3 and MT to ASTM E709 guarantee defect-free through walls rated to 15 000 psi. Features 360° circumferential grain flow eliminates radial defects; fine austenitic grain ≤5 improves impact toughness. Tight chemistry (P ≤0.015 %, S ≤0.005 %) ensures superior weldability and SSC resistance. Full heat treatment, machining and corrosion-resistant cladding are pe…
