201 Stainless Steel Round Pipe or Tube
Product Introduction 201 Stainless Steel Round Pipe/Tube is an austenitic chromium-nickel-manganese alloy developed as a cost-saving alternative to 304. By substituting part of the nickel with manganese and nitrogen, it retains a stable austenitic structure while offering higher strength and lower price. Pipes are produced by cold-drawing or hot-rolling and then TIG or laser welding to ASTM A269, A778, JIS G3459 and GB13296 standards. Outside diameters range 6 mm–2 500 mm (1/4”–100”) and wall thickness 0.5 mm–20 mm (SCH 5–XXS) in mill lengths 4 m, 6 m or 12 m; custom lengths and cut-to-size pieces are available. Surfaces include pickled, 180-grit polished, 320-grit brushed, mirror 600#, bright annealed (BA) and colored PVD coatings, giving designers a bright, reflective finish for visible installations. Product Features High strength: tensile 515–750 MPa, yield 275–450 MPa, 40 % elongation—stronger than 304 at equivalent sizes, allowing thinner walls and weight savings. Good formab…
