Transparent Alumina Tube for Technical Needs

Transparent Alumina Tube for Technical Needs

Highly transparent alumina ceramic tubes are a type of polycrystalline ceramic material with α-Al₂O₃ of high purity as its main component. They achieve high light transmittance by eliminating internal pores and impurities. For a 0.75 mm thick sample, the total light transmittance in the visible light range can reach over 90%, and some optimized products even reach 95%.  This material is the first advanced ceramic material that achieves transparency. Its preparation requires the use of alumina raw materials with a purity of over 99.99%, and the addition of trace amounts of MgO, La₂O₃ or Y₂O₃ as sintering aids to promote densification and inhibit excessive grain growth.  Key performance parameters: Density: ≥ 3.95 g/cm³ Bending strength: > 350 MPa Thermal expansion coefficient: (6.5~8.5) × 10⁻⁶/℃ Operating temperature: Up to 1700°C or above Dielectric constant: > 9.8 Breakdown strength: 6.0 - 6.4 kV/mm Main application fields: Light-emitting tubes (arc tubes) for high-pressure sodi…
