Durable Chemical Fiber Materials

Durable Chemical Fiber Materials Cellulosic fibers are not synthetic but are regenerated from natural cellulose. Viscose Rayon, the most common type, is known for its highly absorbent, soft, and smooth hand feel that closely resembles natural fibers like cotton and silk. It drapes beautifully and is comfortable to wear, though it can be weaker when wet. It is used extensively in apparel, linings, and furnishings. Modal is a type of rayon made using a modified process, resulting in a fiber that is stronger and more stable when wet than standard viscose. It is exceptionally soft and is often found in high-quality t-shirts, underwear, and bed sheets. Lyocell (often marketed under the brand name Tencel) is produced through a more modern, environmentally responsible closed-loop solvent process. It is renowned for its exceptional strength (both wet and dry), softness, and excellent moisture absorption.
